Our cottages are situated in beautifully maintained gardens set between Redford Road and Thorburn Road in Colinton, Edinburgh. The complex consists of 41 cottages, 31 offering single accommodation and 10 double with all the cottages having their own front door.

Colinton Cottage Homes are within walking distance of Colinton village and in easy reach of local shops. There is a good bus service into the city.  On site there is a meeting hall which Tenants can use independently and where weekly activities are organised by the Tenants Social Committee.   If Tenants wish to have a friend or family member stay over there is a Guest Room with twin beds, T.V., fridge and microwave and en suite shower room available at a reasonable cost.

The Cottages are owned and managed by the The Aged Christian Friend Society of Scotland. The objectives of the society are of a charitable nature beneficial to the community in relieving the needs of older people who are 65 years of age or over (however in exceptional circumstances applications from someone under 65 may be considered should they have a housing need) through the provision of unique  retirement accommodation and the payment of grants. The society is a registered charity with the Office of the Scottish Charities Regulator (OSCR).
